Evening Mail / Sports Argus
The Birmingham Evening Mail and Sports Argus newspapers issued a number of interesting football cards in the late 60s. The Evening Mail still runs today as the Birmingham Mail (it was titled the Birmingham Evening Mail from 1867 until 2003). The Sports Argus was a Birmingham Saturday sports paper printed on pink paper which ran from 1897 until 2006. Obviously both papers focussed on the Birmingham area and teams. These football cards are therefore not very common, but are excellent cards to collect.
